Due Date: Payment is due immediately upon completion of service unless a monthly billing schedule has been explicitly approved in writing.
Taxes: In accordance with Hawaii state law, the standard 4.712% Oahu General Excise Tax (GET) pass-on rate is applied to all invoices and totals.
Late Fees: Invoices unpaid after seven (7) calendar days from the service date are subject to a $15 late fee per week until the balance is paid in full.
Notice Required: Clients must provide at least 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule a regular maintenance visit.
Weather Policy: Due to rapid tropical weather changes on Oahu,Better Lawn Service HI reserves the right to postpone service due to heavy rain, muddy turf conditions, or high winds. Weather-related delays will be rescheduled for the next available clear day at no additional charge.
Access & Lockouts: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that gates are unlocked and access pathways are clear on the scheduled service day. If our team arrives and cannot access the yard due to a locked gate, blocked entry, or an unchained/aggressive pet, the service will be canceled for that day, and a $35 trip fee will be charged.
Yard Hazards & Toys: Clients must clear the yard of all toys, hoses, pet bones, large rocks, and loose debris before our arrival. Better Lawn Service HI is not responsible for damage to items left scattered in the turf.
Pet Feces: Yards containing excessive or accumulated pet waste present a biohazard and equipment contamination risk. A $50 equipment cleanup and sanitation fee will be added to the invoice for servicing yards with excessive waste, or the service may be rescheduled at our discretion.
Insurance: Better Lawn Service HI maintains active commercial general liability insurance.
Debris & Flying Objects: Hawaii turf often contains hidden volcanic rock, coral, gravel, and surface roots. While we utilize standard safety guards, the client agrees that Better Lawn Service HI is not liable for incidental damage caused by flying debris during normal operations (including, but not limited to, unmarked windows, glass doors, or vehicles parked immediately adjacent to the turf).
Pre-Existing & Hidden Damage: We are not liable for damage to pre-existing property issues, exposed wiring, unmarked/shallow low-voltage lighting, or shallow/unmarked PVC irrigation lines that are not buried to standard legal depth.
In Writing: Any changes, additions, or reductions to your service plan or frequency must be requested and agreed upon in writing via text message or email to maintain a valid digital paper trail.
48-Hour Window: We take great pride in our work. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of your cut or trim, please notify us in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of the service. We will return to inspect and correct the issue at no additional cost to you. Corrections requested after 48 hours will be billed as a standard service call.
